The City of Franklin's zoning is divided into 17 different districts (those listed below & PUD, Planned Unit Development which is described below).  Click on the zoning district to view the permitted uses, and other standards for the respective district.

  • Downtown Overlay Zoning District Approved

    The newly created downtown overlay zoning district was approved by City Council on July 19th. The downtown overlay zoning district applies to those properties located within Figure 1 (last page).
  • Ordinance 10-04 Downtown Overlay
    Published: Monday, July 19, 2010
    Ordinance 2010-04 was passed by the City Council on July 19th. A downtown approval is now required for the detailed area that can be found on the map (Figure 1).
