Our Town Players - Community Theater
We encourage members of the Franklin community and surrounding areas to join us in the fun of participating "on stage" or behind the scenes. Anyone interested in taking part in any area of Community Theater should call Sharon Hood at 317-736-3689. Another aspect of Our Town Players is a volunteer troupe of actors that present a program called "Telling Our Story". Since 1998, members of the troupe have developed and portrayed characters from the past in Johnson County to bring local history to life. Interactive programs are presented to groups of all ages. THROUGH 2007 SEASON:
· · "Dangerous Obsession", a suspense play - Production
dates TBD (tentatively April or May 2007). Cast requirements:
2 men, 1 woman.
This riveting play centers around a man obsessed with pinning the blame for
his wife's accident on someone - when he stops by the Driscoll home one
afternoon, their lives are changed forever.
· "Forty Carats", a romantic comedy play- Production
dates TBD (tentatively July 2007). Cast requirements: 5 men,
6 women.
A A 40-year old divorcee's car breaks down in Greece, and she is introduced to the
true romance of the country by a winning youth of 22. Back home, where she runs
a lucrative real estate business, the divorcee has problems with her mother, 17-year
old daughter and ex husbands. A handsome client also courts her. One day a boy
who comes to date her daughter turns out to be the youth from Greece - not only is
the attraction between them still irresistibly strong, but the 45 year old client is
really in love with the daughter!
