Province Park Re-Opens
Thursday, August 28
Province Park will be open again for public use beginning Thursday, August 28 at 8:00 a.m. The park has been closed to public use since the park was inundated with floodwaters at the beginning of June. Several volunteer groups have spent many hours helping the park operations staff restore the park back to pre-flood condition. Crews have spent the last couple of months repairing playgrounds, restoring playground safety surfacing, cleaning shelter houses and trails and restoring the landscaping and turf throughout the park. Renovations have also been completed at Blue Heron Park, Blue Heron Challenge Course, Temple Park and Schmidt Park, while work still continues at Province Park, Community Park, Scott Park, the Wonder Five Center and the Recreation Center.
